About the Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) with a strong presence in Alaska and ambitious expansion plans. They are seeking a Senior Account Manager to serve as the strategic technology partner for a portfolio of clients, helping organizations align technology investments with business goals while driving long-term client success.

This role combines technology strategy, account management, and client relationship leadership. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate technology decisions, cybersecurity considerations, IT planning, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary advisor for assigned client accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with client leadership teams.
  • Lead regular business reviews, planning sessions, and strategic discussions.
  • Ensure proactive communication and a high-quality client experience.

Technology Strategy & Advisory

  • Develop technology roadmaps aligned with client business goals.
  • Advise on IT investments, cybersecurity, risk management, and technology planning.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear business recommendations.

Account Growth & Retention

  • Drive client satisfaction, retention, and long-term account growth.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and strategic projects.
  • Act as an escalation point for client concerns and ensure timely resolution.

Financial & Account Management

  • Support technology budgeting and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor account health, renewals, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate on pricing, contracts, and account strategy.

Internal Collaboration

  • Partner with service delivery and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation and account records.
  • Share client feedback to support continuous service improvement.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, client success, technology consulting, or advisory roles.
  • Experience within an MSP, IT services, or technology solutions environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of client lifecycle management and strategic account development.
  • Demonstrated success building trusted client relationships and driving retention and growth.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Consultative approach to sales, account expansion, and client advocacy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to create scalable processes and documentation.
  • Financial acumen, including experience reviewing account performance, budgeting, pricing, and service utilization.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check required for security badging.
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be based in Alaska.
  • We prefer candidates based in Juneau or willing to spend significant time there.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Alaska for in-person client meetings and collaboration.
  • Remote work flexibility available within Alaska; however, this is not a fully remote position.
